Lisa Kagen, Executive Chef at Bottle & Basket, has been a long time supporter of Grateful Grahams. I am in awe of her strength and courage she has had while building 2 delicious eateries in our city. Melt, a Northside staple filled with a menu sure to feed the vegan or meat eater in your life. What we talked about how she was ahead of the curve and making good vegan food. Picnic and Pantry, which has been in Northside and had moved to OTR (one block from Washington Park) last year. It’s the perfect spot to run and grab all of your picnic supplies before heading to the park.
In the past few months Lisa had decided running the business was taking away from what she was passionate about- THE FOOD! After some heart to heart she finally realized selling the businesses and staying on as executive chef was the best thing for her and her companies. That’s when Molly Wellman pops in – Wellman’s Brands purchased the 2 locations and will now be able to offer food at all of their bars.
You will also notice the rebranding of Picnic & Pantry to Bottle & Basket which launched in early June.
