Richard Stewart has been farming for over thirteen years now and is the sixth generation of the family to work the land. He is married and a father of two awesome children.
Carriage House Farm was once a small 90 acre homestead, but today includes more than 300 acres of fertile, mostly river bottom, land and woods. We also farm with our neighbors, baling hay, for our horses, building horse trails, hosting events, and helping out when needed.
You can find seasonal produce, herbs, cornmeal and wheat berries, honey and pollen, and eggs. The produce available changes with the season. Located at 10251 Miamiview Rd., North Bend, Ohio 45052.
Richard is also the co-owner of The MadHouse Vinegar Co. along with the manager of the farm and chef, Justin Dean. They have this crazy concept where they are using food grade waste from breweries to ferment some amazing malt vinegar as well as some crazy fruit wine vinegar including a coffee vinegar, persimmon vinegar, pawpaw vinegar, a wonderful umami vinegar featuring salt cured mountain ham, and a balsamic-esque malt vinegar that goes through a similar process to its grape must forefather.
