I find food to be a uniter, something that brings us all together as a community. This panel discusses that community on a whole new level.
Suzy Deyoung the founder of La Soupe created a program of feeding children by turning food waste aka food that wasn’t suitable for the grocery store shelves. She relies every week on chefs across the city for what they call the “Bucket Brigade” that is where the 2 other panelist come in. They help make soup to feed the kids because they are passionate chefs willing and able to make a difference.
This panel is sure to open your heart. It will make you look at your food differently. It will make you want to get involved.
I am really grateful for Suzy, Mike, and Jason for coming out, sharing their stories of why they got into food but also how they as a community are working together to make a difference.
