Kitchen Convos Episode 10: On the road with Ken Durbin

What a treat it was to take some time out and talk to Ken. He is the chef and owner of The At Home Chef. He’s always had an interest in how ingredients were grown, where they were sourced, and how they can be meticulously prepared into a beautiful and delicious plate of food. For much of his life this was just a hobby, but at age 37 he decided to pursue his life’s passion. He attended The Midwest Culinary Institute, completed his degree, and went to work at The University Club as the Executive Chef. In 2013 he took a leap of faith and started his own business – The At Home Chef.

He is more than just a personal chef. He creates an intimate epicurean experience which combines your love for food with restaurant-quality precision. It’s more than a dinner party, it’s an educational experience where you get to immerse yourself in the culinary process. He really wants you to grow your love of food, make meaningful connections with friends and family, have fun, and feel pampered.
