Friends,
What wild times we are having right now. Here is an update for what we are doing at the Incubator Kitchen Collective and also how we could really use your help.
We’ve been making sure we are keeping the facility sanitized and have made extra sanitizer bottles for all of our members to use. No one is allowed in the facility who has a fever or any symptoms. The folks with employees are doing the same checks etc. We are making sure we are staying on top and monitoring closely.
Over the last month as this has unfolded we’ve watched how our members are responding, what there needs are and how best to support them.
Part of our membership group is thriving – the meal prep companies, the bakeries they’ve all found ways to be nimble and offer food delivered to the door.
The other part of our membership – the food trucks and folks who solely rely on events etc are really struggling right now. There is no real outlet for the sales.
We have launched a Go-Fund Me to create a Community Fund for our members during this time. Our goal is $10,000 and this will help aid members who don’t want to close their doors but literally have no income or sales coming in from closed events.

I will also be sharing more soon on businesses offering discount codes, running specials too, so stay tuned!
Here is the note we published last week on our Facebook Page sharing more:
“Friends,
Rachel here. Founder and dream believer of the IKC. Over the last few weeks I’ve been witness to our community in and out of our kitchen reacting to the pandemic. A lot of our members who are doing meal prep are thriving and others who only outlets were markets and events have been completely crushed.
I am coming here to ask for help. These are solo and self entrepreneurs, there is “no job to lose” so some of the benefits they don’t qualify for. They are family owned and operated. They work hard every month to make ends meet and get food on your tables. They show up every weekend to the farmers markets with food for you. They show up all over our city at events with food for you. They show up in sunshine, rain and snow with food for you.
I am asking you now to help us. I’ve set up an IKC Community Fund to get some reserves for our members. We will work with them individually to figure out how and where they need help at. Whether it’s food for their pantries, covering their rent etc. They need us right now.
If you feel called I ask:
Please make a donation at the link below and share share share. Ask your friends to help too. We need you now.”
I hope you feel called to support right now, click the link and make a donation today!
In Gratitude & Community,
Rachel
